The $50 and $60 figures are one-way, from the airport to Moshi city center or Arusha city center, in one private Toyota Alphard. Your group does not share the vehicle. The fare includes flight monitoring and a driver in arrivals with a name board. A normal delay does not add a waiting fee. Tolls and parking for a normal city drop are covered.

Moshi city drops are a common stop for climbers sleeping in town before the mountain. The ride that matches the published fare is the airport to a hotel in Moshi city center: $50 for 1 to 3 passengers or $60 for 4 to 6, one Alphard, about 45 to 60 minutes. Trek bags ride with you. You do not share the vehicle.
The advice we give before someone budgets the whole trip at $50: the gate the next morning is a second ride. Machame, Marangu, and Londorossi are quoted on their own. A lodge on the airport road is quoted on its own. If you need both the town hotel and the gate, say both in the same WhatsApp and we price them separately before you fly. The city fare is not a package for the gate.
On the day, we follow the landing. If the flight is early or delayed, the pickup time moves with it, day or night, and a normal delay does not add a waiting fee. Private Alphard or the shared shuttle
Kilimanjaro International Airport, run by KADCO, publishes a shared airport shuttle just outside the terminal. The airport transport page lists that shuttle at TSh 10,000 to Moshi or Arusha, shared with other passengers (KADCO, Airport Rides, retrieved 29 September 2026). That price is theirs, and they can change it. It is not a private taxi fare.
The Alphard is your group only, up to 6 people, with room for trek or safari bags. The vehicle is on the fleet page. The city-center price does not change if the flight lands at night.
